“The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway.” Dr. Kent Keith

We have two new Mission Partners this week. Maria Ali and Rick Conley, both of Houston, have honored us with financial donations to benefit our Christian home. Their donations will be used to purchase food for Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. Our food supply money always seems to be on the verge of critical and your donations, along with your confidence in our work, are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Speaking of donations to our food fund, Andrew Barrey, a Mission Partner from the US has increased his commitment to our work through another financial donation. Andrew asked that the donation be used to benefit our home and we have already added it to the food fund. Thanks Andrew…it will only be about fourteen months before you and your wife join our Cancun family on a permanent basis. It’s a great place to live, worship and serve our Father and we look forward to having you.

Teresa Weatherly, another Houston area Mission Partner, also increased her commitment to our work. Teresa is one of our most loyal supporters and her generosity to our children is a blessing. Thank you for your continued support. We hope to see you soon.

With the financial help of our worldwide Mission Partners, volunteers from Cancun Christian Fellowship continue to provide weekly supply’s of eggs, cheese, chicken, chorizo, beef, pork and milk to our Cancun Christian home. Groceries are purchased and delivered every Wednesday. If you would like to make a donation to the Casa Hogar Food Fund, please tell Cherilyn or Tom.

We received a very nice letter from Marti Mason. Marti and Gary are spending the summer in Minnesota but promise to return to us by the end of November. Gary, you are missed in the Wednesday Men’s Group.

Pictures have been added to our “Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza” FaceBook page. Please take a few minutes to view and enjoy them.

“God has given wonderful blessings to each of us and we are called to give back by doing good works and by serving others in His name. What matters is not how long you live, but how you live. What matters is not the duration of your life, but the donation of your life.” Rick Warren

Our website continues to generate a lot of positive activity. The majority of visitors in our Sunday service come to us by way of our website. If you have relevant photos you would like posted to the website or one of our FaceBook pages, please email them to tommartinmx@gmail.com and we will make sure they go up.

We would also like to start a Mission Partner photo page on the website. Mission Partners, for this to work, you need to send us a picture of you and/or your family. We look forward to receiving and posting them. Please email them to cancunchristianfellowship@gmail.com .

The Wednesday morning and Thursday evening Christian Ladies’ Group is taking a summer vacation and will not meet during the month of July. The next meetings are scheduled for the 3rd and 4th of August. Cherilyn Martin will keep you updated.

“The purpose of Christianity is not to avoid difficulty, but to produce a character adequate to meet it when it comes. It does not make life easy; rather it tries to make us great enough for life.” James L. Christensen

“Trying to do the Lord's work in your own strength is the most confusing, exhausting, and tedious of all work. But when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, then the ministry of Jesus just flows out of you.” Corrie Ten Boom

Sixteen Church Members and Mission Partners attended last Sunday’s pizza luncheon. Everyone had a great time and we can assure you that nobody went home hungry. If you were not there, you missed a great gathering with your Cancun Christian family.

The children at the home are on Summer Vacation and full of life. If you have an extra shot of energy, why not stop by the “CASA” and spend some quality time with them? Your love and attention will go a long way.

“The badge of courage does not require that we walk through something dangerous. It simply requires that we continue to share God's love whenever and wherever we are.” Tom White

For those of you that frequently travel to the US, this will not mean much but, we have discovered that Chedraui on Kabah across from Soriana now has Frito Scoops. WOW! They are not in the chip section but are on the rack right as you walk in the front door. They taste wonderful and bring back fond memories. ENJOY!

We have received a financial donation from the Wayne Shaw family in Kansas. The Shaw’s are special friends, friends that our Father placed in our care a short time ago…friends that we will never forget. There donation will be used to purchase groceries for our children. Thank you for your support and for joining our family of Mission Partners.

A Baptism Service is in the planning stages for Ricky Gonzales. If you would like to be baptized, why not join Ricky? Please contact Cherilyn or Tom to express your desire and obtain additional information. We would love to have you join us.

“I have discovered that the people who believe most strongly in the next life do the most good in the present one.” C. S. Lewis

This Sunday’s service will be presented by Dr. Damon Shook and is titled “Wake Up and Live Now”. Dr. Shook’s “Old School” approach to our Sunday service is always enjoyed. We hope to see all of you this Sunday.

We are happy to report that we had five guests in church last Sunday. It is very nice to see new faces enjoying our Sunday lesson and sharing fellowship with new friends.

The Wednesday morning and Thursday evening Christian Ladies’ Group is taking a summer vacation and will not meet during the month of July. The next meetings are scheduled for the 3rd and 4th of August. Cherilyn Martin will keep you updated.
