Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen. Unknown

Many of you know that every other Tuesday we take four ladies from Cancún Escuela de Belleza (thanks to Mission Partner Raul) to CIDA to work their magic on the residents. It is very generous outreach and adds dignity to the lives of the residents. We are not talking about military haircuts … the residents get to tell the ladies how they want their hair to be trimmed and all seem very pleased with the outcome. This is a seemingly small thing that makes a big impact.

We have the absolute best Mission Partners in the world and we have been blessed with more gifts to benefit our Christian Mission Outreach. Recent gifts include:
Raul*: CIDA
Shawn and Suzanne*: City of Joy Christmas and CIDA Christmas
Teresa*: CCF Christmas Fund
Vartan and Cynthia: CIDA Christmas
Harold and Tracy: CCF Mission Outreach
Julianna: Christmas gifts for Casa Hogar
Jorge: Christmas gifts for Casa Hogar
Dina: Christmas gifts for Casa Hogar
Anonymous: CCF Christmas Fund
Monica: Christmas gifts for City of Joy

Giving does not end with tithing. God asks that the giving heart be extended to those who need it most-widows, orphans, and the poor. As a Christian, we must reach out to those in need, sharing the blessings we have received from God. "allaboutgod.com"

19 days until Christmas and things are happening. Our treasured Mission Partners are opening their hearts and joining us in our desire to provide the best Christmas ever for those less fortunate.
1. 9 children at Casa Hogar
2. 10 mothers and children at City of Joy
3. 121 residents of CIDA (this will be the 1st time anyone has provided Christmas for the residents of CIDA)

Our goal remains to furnish Christmas gifts for 140 and to provide Christmas dinner for the 121 residents of CIDA and 10 mothers and children at City of Joy. Many of our Missions Partners have opened their hearts and contributed and we sincerely thank you for your continued support of our work.

As you can see, we truly need your help. No donation is too large or too small and all donations are appreciated. As you open your hearts, you are showing those less fortunate the life changing power of Jesus Christ. Is there any better way to celebrate Christmas?

What a blessing! We have started receiving Christmas gifts for the children at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. If you live in or around Cancun, we invite you to deliver the gifts in person. The experience will enrich your heart. If you need directions to the orphanage contact Tom Martin @ tommartinmx@gmail.com.

It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air. W.T. Ellis

You are invited to join us on December 21st at CIDA in Leona Vicario. Cherie and I will get there around 2:00 PM to start cooking and setting up and we plan on serving around 4:00 PM. CIDA is very easy to find. You simply take the Merida Highway (Lopez Portillo- the Libre to Merida). As you enter Leona Vicario, there is a Pemex station on your right…CIDA is 200 feet further on your left. The facility is white and blue and well marked, has high walls and a large parking lot in front. We hope you will join us in honoring God by serving others.

When we recall Christmas past, we usually find that the simplest things, not the great occasions, give off the greatest glow of happiness. Bob Hope

Thursday evening, ladies from The Thursday Evening Christian Women’s Study Group met and, among other things, put labels on the packages that will hold the gifts for CIDA residents.

Feliz Navidad

de sus Amigos de

Compañerismo Cristiano de Cancún

If your Spanish is a little rusty the label translates to: Merry Christmas from your Friends at Cancún Christian Fellowship.

It is really nice seeing old faces and new faces in church. In a couple of weeks, many of our friends from the cold north will be returning to our warm tropical climate and rejoining their Cancún family at church. It will be really nice to see them again and to work with them in our Mission Outreach. Can’t Wait!

Santa saw your Facebook pictures ... this year you are getting clothes and a Bible. Jean

The purpose of tithing, found in Deuteronomy 14:22-23, is made clear: to “teach you always to love the Lord your God.” By practicing good tithing habits, scripture tells us we are showing God our desire to put him first in our lives.

Christmas is a necessity. There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we're here for something else besides ourselves. Eric Sevareid

Somehow, not only for Christmas, but all the long year long, the joy that you give to others is the joy that comes back to you. John Greenleaf Whittier
This is really great news. We have located the shoes we want to purchase as Christmas gifts for the residents of CIDA Leona Vicario and we feel they are in our budget. We have also decided on the Christmas dinner menu at CIDA and we are putting the pencil to the numbers. For us, this is really exciting and fun and what better way to honor God by serving others.
The giving of gifts is not something man invented. God started the giving spree when he gave a gift beyond words, the unspeakable gift of His Son. Robert Flatt
Clayton and Karen, new Mission Partners from Iowa, visited our church and then joined us on Tuesday to purchase and deliver supplies for CIDA. They also furnished our Mission Outreach with toothbrushes and vitamins for the residents of CIDA. An interesting observation, when we arrived, a CIDA resident was wearing a toothbrush around his neck so he would not lose it. Thank you, we are happy you have joined our Cancun Christian family.
What do you have in your hand? Perhaps you, like Moses, feel that you have nothing with which you can serve God. But think about what your neighbors need. Maybe you can help them with whatever is in your hand. Maybe that is exactly what they need. Dick Nieusma
