“Don’t give up. There are too many nay-sayers out there who will try to discourage you. Don’t listen to them. The only one who can make you give up is yourself.” Sidney Sheldon
If you are in Cancun or the Riviera Maya and have clothing or commodity contributions for our children, please contact Cherilyn Martin (cherilynmartin@gmail.com). All items must be clean, sorted and sized before delivery. Please strive to make sure all items offered are clean and serviceable. Please ask yourself this question: Would you allow your children to wear the clothes in public?

“Restlessness and impatience change nothing except our peace and joy. Peace does not dwell in outward things, but in the heart prepared to wait trustfully and quietly on Him who has all things safely in His hands.” Elisabeth Elliot
With the financial help of our church members and worldwide Christian Mission Partners, CCF Good Guys Henry and John were able to purchase and deliver a week’s supply of pork, molida especial, salchicha Vienna, sliced turkey, chorizo, queso Oaxaca, eggs, bread, buns, donuts, media crema, cheese whiz and fish to our Christian home. Cancun Christian Fellowship purchases and delivers groceries to Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza every week.
“Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day.” Sally Koch (think about this one)
The children’s Valentine Party at Casa Hogar was Wednesday afternoon and WOW says it all. With the help of Jean, George, Amy, John, Kathryn, Sue, Guy, Pete, Karen, Nancy B, Cherilyn, Tom, Nancy M and her teachers and students, the party went off magnificently. The children had a wonderful time and John finished off the day helping Manuel with his homework. This is the team spirit that we often talk about…team members making the difference in the life of our children.
“In those times we yearn to have more in our lives, we should dwell on the things we already have. In doing so, we will often find that our lives are already full to overflowing.” Jim Stovall
The fourth community bathroom is now complete and it is beautiful. It is a mirror image of the previously renovated bathrooms with the exception of special facilities for smaller children. We will be showing pictures in church this Sunday.
“Live an honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time.” Author Unknown
We had a “how to and when” meeting with our contractor, Brian Schaffer, concerning the rescreening of the orphanage. We now have a solid plan and working agreement and the project will start the first week in March. To assure quality control, work will be accomplished in sections (by areas) with all doors being completed at the same time. If you were at the Valentine Party Wednesday, you know that the mosquitoes are a genuine problem.
“In the end, a person is only known by the impact they have on others.” Jim Stovall
Our pre-church entertainment will feature Flip Pallot fly fishing for Pacific Tuna. This is a great presentation with plenty of action. Remember there is an OXXO next door to the hotel if you desire coffee, soft drinks or snacks while watching the show
“Never give up on something that you can’t go a day without thinking about.” Winston Churchill (this is the best quote of the day)
Our lesson this week will be delivered by Mark Shook and is the sixth lesson in his series Red Letter Year. This has been a very enjoyable series and we know you won’t want to miss this one. See you Sunday.
“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” Dale Carnegie
The purpose of tithing, found in Deuteronomy 14:22-23 (NLT), is made clear: to “teach you always to love the Lord your God.” By practicing good tithing habits, scripture tells us we are showing God our desire to put him first in our lives.
“No person was ever honored for what he received. He was honored for what he gave.” Calvin Coolidge
