"Forgiveness is the fragrance the flower leaves on the heel of the one who crushed it." David Jeremiah

“Money is no substitute for tenderness, and power is not a substitute for tenderness. I can tell you as I'm sitting here dying, when you most need it, neither money nor power will give you the feeling you're looking for, no matter how much of them you have." Morrie
If you are in the Riviera Maya and have a clothing contribution for our children, please contact Cherilyn for sorting, sizing and Wednesday delivery. Please strive to make sure all items offered are clean and serviceable.
"People need loving the most when they deserve it the least." John Harrison

“Remember, you may choose your sin, but you cannot choose the consequences.” Jenny Sanford
With the help of Mission Partner Brian Schaefer and his crew, we started renovating the kitchen and laundry area plumbing at Casa Hogar today. The word renovation is actually a misnomer because the home does not currently have a plumbing system in the kitchen and laundry area (unless you call plastic buckets a plumbing system). The improvements will greatly enhance the quality of life for our children. The hole we are currently digging is 6 feet wide, 5 feet deep and 12 feet long. Six hours of hard labor by 3.5 men got us down 18 inches. In our excavation activity, we have uncovered everything under the sun with the possible exception of Jimmy Hoffa. Tomorrow is a new day. We will post pictures on the website upon completion.
“Humor is to life what shock absorbers are to automobiles.” Stan Toler
With the financial help of our worldwide Mission Partners, this past week, volunteers from Cancun Christian Fellowship were able to provide eggs, cheese, molida especial, pork, salchicha dokkers, sliced ham and turkey, and chicken to our Cancun Christian home. Groceries are purchased and delivered every week. If you would like to make a contribution to our Casa Hogar Children’s Food Fund, please contact Cherilyn or Tom.
“Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.” Winston Churchill
The Doctor reported that Marti Mason’s foot is really broken and now she is sporting a cast for the next four to six weeks. Marti, we were very sorry to get that news. We would also like to report that TJ is now home and resting comfortably after surgery and we hope to see him back in church soon. Yes, he has his cell phone with him.
“Wherever you are, be all there.” Jim Elliot
This week’s Sunday service will feature inspirational songs by Paul Colman, Ayiesha Woods and Paul Baloche. Wonderful music followed by a great Dr. Ed Young service message. Why not join us?
“What is the difference between an obstacle and an opportunity? Our attitude toward it is the difference. Every opportunity has a difficulty, and every difficulty has an opportunity.” J. Sidlow Baxter
