Our Mission: We are servants of God by serving others. We share a responsibility to bring God's love to hurting people. We are a Christian outreach fellowship of believers dedicated to showing the people of the Yucatan Peninsula, through our teaching, actions and love, the life changing power of Jesus Christ.

If you are considering a commodity donation to Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza, here are some items that are currently needed:
1. Milk & Eggs
2. Children’s clothes and shoes (any size-any gender)
3. Twin Size Blankets (winter is here)
If you are vacationing or living in the Riviera Maya, we invite you to attend our Sunday Service. We offer a non-denominational, Bible based Christian church with exceptional service lessons, a warm and friendly congregation and a strong and meaningful Christian Mission Outreach program.
If you are in Cancun and have a clothing donation for our children, contact Cherilyn for sorting, sizing and Wednesday delivery. Please make sure all items donated are clean and serviceable. Currently, we especially need clothing for young girls ages 6-11.
With help of Wendy Sombito (our helping ANGEL at 2nd Baptist Church in Houston), we will be viewing Dr. Ed Young’s Christmas Eve service on December 25th. This is the same lesson other Christians around the world will be watching Christmas Day. We have also located appropriate traditional seasonal music and we feel you will enjoy the Christmas Day fellowship. Christmas Day falls on Sunday and we are offering a Christmas Day service at the usual time and location and we hope as many of you as possible will attend. Looking for a great way to start your Christmas Day festivities…join our Cancun Christian family in praise and celebration.
We have been blessed with financial donations to benefit our children at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. We are always grateful for the assistance we receive from our worldwide mission partners. Recent donations include:
• Scott, Cheri and family, Alabama: Children’s Christmas
• COF Member, Quintana Roo: Children’s Food Fund
• COF Member, Quintana Roo: Children’s Christmas
• COF Member, Quintana Roo: Children’s Food Fund
• COF Member, Quintana Roo: Children’s Food Fund
• Larry, Sasha and family, Texas: Children’s Christmas & Children's Food Fund
• Peter and Yelena, Serbia: Children’s Christmas and Children's Food Fund
We want to thank all Mission Partners and COF members for their continuing contributions and support. In addition to our weekly expenses for food and sundries, in the month of December we will be providing Christmas joy for sixteen children and four adults. We absolutely could not do it without you.
We want to offer a note of appreciation and special thanks to Cancun Brian. Brian is always there with a helping hand when we need him.
With the financial help of our worldwide Mission Partners, this past week, volunteers from Cancun Christian Fellowship were able to provide a week’s supply of mermelada, eggs, cheese (yellow and white), chicken, chorizo, pork, ham and turkey lunchmeat, salchicha hotdogs, molida especial and milk to our Cancun Christian home. Groceries are purchased and delivered every Wednesday. If you would like to make a donation to our Casa Hogar Food Fund, please contact Cherilyn or Tom.
Food for thought: We are all in God's hands all of our lives, even when we least expect it. He is our Father, and wants His children to come to him always. He loves us all, good or bad.
Never be ashamed to call out to God for help. We all call out to God in times of need, but we seldom call out to God when we are happy to thank him for the happy and joyful times in our lives, let's give him the thanks and praise he deserves for giving us the lives we have. He surrounds us with his love and his mercy. For only when we truly face the unknown situations of our lives do we understand the depth of our lives.
We need to walk with him every day and acknowledge him in everything we do. Let him lead you and let him carry you when you can't walk. Let him be in control, for you can't control your life. You can control certain things, but he controls everything, let him be in control. Let God be your main purpose for being.
LANCE PRICE - LANCE PRICE - LANCE PRICE - LANCE PRICE: We all enjoyed Lance Price’s sermon last Sunday. For those that missed it, this week’s lesson (11/27/2011) is your chance to catch Lance again. His lesson is on “The Old and the New”, we have previewed it and we know you will like it. You are invited to join us for a phenomenal hour of worship, music and Christian fellowship.
Frito Scoops: After careful analysis and a lot of leg work, it appears the last Frito Scoops in Cancun are at the Superama north of Coba/Kukulkan on Bonampak. They still had a reasonable supply but they won’t last long. Two weeks ago they had a large supply of “Goldfish” but there were completely sold out today. Small pleasures don’t last long in the Yucatan.
A tentative date of 12/13/2011 has been set for our Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza’s Christmas decoration party. So far, volunteers include Anna, Linda, Tom, Cherilyn and Katherine, but we need more help. Please contact Cherilyn if you would like to volunteer and share your Christmas joy and love with our children.
Tom and Cherilyn had the pleasure of spending Monday afternoon (just hanging out) with Evelyn, one of our children from Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. She was a delight to be with. Time flew by much too fast and the really hard part was taking her home. We are already planning our next outing with her. Being with Evelyn was Christ’s food for our souls.
At our “after church lunch” Sunday, we discussed the Hatfield and Hollander families, wonderful Mission Partners from the US, and what a spiritual impact they had on our CCF volunteers. They are truly God’s gift that keeps on giving.
More food for thought: I asked God to take away my pride. And God said "No". He said it was not for Him to take away, but for me to give up.
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. And God said "No". He said her spirit was whole, her body was only temporary.
I asked God to grant me patience. And God said "No". He said patience is a by-product of tribulations. It isn't granted, it is earned.
I asked God to give me happiness. And God said "No". He said He gives me blessings, happiness is up to me.
I asked God to spare me pain. And God said "No". He said suffering draws me apart from worldly cares and brings me closer to Him.
I asked God to make my spirit grow. And God said "No". He said I must grow on my own. But He will prune me to make me fruitful.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. And God said "No". He said He will give me life, that I may enjoy all things.
I ask God to help me love others, as much as he loves me. And God said "Ah, finally you have the idea!" Graham Pockett

Lance is back. For that Lance Price lover in you, for the next several Sundays, Lance will be offering our spiritual message at Community of Faith Church Cancun’s English Service. We have previewed the first message and you will not be disappointed.
If you are vacationing or living in the Riviera Maya, we invite you to attend our Sunday Service. We are a non-denominational, Bible based Christian church that offers exceptional lessons, a warm and friendly congregation and a strong and meaningful Mission Outreach program. What a great group in church this past Sunday including guests and new members. Speaking of new members, TJ spoke on bringing new members into our Christian family. It is a topic we should all be giving serious consideration to.
For the past several newsletters, we have requested that our Mission Partners email us pictures of themselves and their families. We want to add a new Mission Partner gallery page to our website. Either no one is reading the newsletter OR no one wants to send a picture. We promise we will not use your names in the gallery…we simply want the world to see your smiling faces. We are very grateful for your assistance and we want to share our joy with others. Someone has to be the first to send a picture…why not let it be you?

As many of you know, last Sunday was Katy and Prince’s last Cancun family Sunday for a while. Please join me in praying for their safe return in mid January. Our service is never the same without them.
Now for really happy news, we have been contacted by Mike and Heidi from the US and they are planning a Cancun wedding in February, 2012. They will be attending our church service during their visit and all members are invited to their wedding ceremony offered by Tom in Puerto Morelos. We will give you more details at a later date.
