Our Mission: We are servants of God by serving others. We share a responsibility to bring God's love to hurting people. We are an outreach fellowship of believers dedicated to showing the people of the Yucatan Peninsula, through our teaching, actions and love, the life changing power of Jesus Christ.

It's OK to make mistakes; at least it shows you're working. “Ed Mirvish”

If you are considering a commodity donation to Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza, here are some items that are currently needed:
1. Milk / Cheese / Eggs
2. Children’s clothes and shoes (any size-any gender)
3. Diapers Size Jumbo

With your financial help, volunteers from Cancun Christian Fellowship purchased and delivered a week’s supply of eggs, milk, cheese, chicken, pork, chorizo and beef to our Christian home. Groceries are purchased and delivered every Wednesday. If you would like to make a donation to the Casa Hogar Food Fund, please see Cherilyn or Tom.

Tom is attempting to learn Facebook and will do a better job of keeping the information current. Please look for updates on Facebook under Cancun Christian Fellowship. Many pictures have been added to our Facebook site that do not appear on the website.

Our momentum in Christ’s service is growing. As a congregation, we frequently see new visitors in our Sunday service. We are sure that you have also noticed new “regular visitors” in our service and several joining our Christian family. We use our website to identify our Christian family to other families worldwide and then we show them our faith through our teachings, actions and love. Our CCF Newsletter is also directly mailed to over 150 families weekly.

We want to thank our Cancun volunteers and global Mission Partners for financial donations, food, clothing, day trips, diapers, medical treatment and medicine that you have provided this year. You are a fantastic part of our Christian family. Because of you, our children are happy, healthy and they absolutely know they are loved. Without your support and devotion to Christian service, we could not have made miracles happen. WE SALUTE YOU!

Several of our younger children have been suffering from chest congestion. It seems to be something that is passed around at our Christian home. While not serious, it means a lot of extra work and sleepless nights for Esther.

Failure is the path of least persistence. “Ray Cross”

We have been blessed with another financial donation from the Ackerman’s, our faithful Mission Partners in Indiana. The donation will go to our Mission Outreach at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. Brant and Renee Ackerman visited our church and our Christian home in Bonfil a short time ago and experienced your love and compassion. They truly understand the meaning of “Serving God by Serving Others”. We will continue to stay in contact with the Ackerman’s and hopefully someday they will be a permanent part of our Cancun Christian family. Please keep the Ackerman family in your daily prayers.

The Laurie and Ryan Lipp family was fortunate enough to be able to spend quality time with Danny and Heather Martinez, Matt and Monette Chain, Kaycee White and, of course, all of their children. We saw a picture of the reunion and all looked wonderful but it makes us miss them even more.

The Kimberly and Keith Wagner family, our newest Mission Partners, assisted this week with a donation to our Casa Hogar Food Fund. Thank you, your help is greatly appreciated.

Don’t forget that the Turner’s will (should) be returning to our family on the 4th of June. Keep Kathy and Prince in your prayers for a safe journey and continued health.

A big thanks goes out to TJ for printing the church bulletins for our Sunday service. A simple thing but it means a lot.

We received a financial donation from James and Tammy Derksen, our very loyal Mission Partners in Canada. The Derksen’s continue to be very compassionate in donating to our children and we are eternally grateful.

After church on most Sundays, several families get together for lunch and relaxing conversation. If you would like to join us (and we would love to have you), please tell Cherilyn or Tom and they will be happy to give you the current location. These lunches are usually in traditional Mexican restaurants and you will not have to take your banker along to cover your bill. It is an opportunity to spend meaningful time with your family… and yes, children are always welcome.

Don’t forget to put the middle of June on your calendar if you would like to join us in manual labor at our Cancun orphanage. All you need is gloves, jeans, foot protection and compassion to make a difference in the lives of others. Talk to Tom for additional information.

Never be afraid to admit that you were wrong, for it is equal to saying that you are wiser today than you were yesterday. Unknown

Dean Taylor and Sharon Wade joined our Sunday service this week. They are from Toronto, Canada and will be in Cancun for a few more days. It was really nice having them worship with our family and we hope to see them again in the near future.

It was truly nice seeing Pat and Eli this week. Welcome home ladies!

We have previewed Pastor Mark Shook’s sermon for this week, “Radical Life Change Happens One Thought at a Time”, and feel it is one of the best lessons of the current series. If you cannot make it to church this Sunday, we encourage you to go on line and enjoy it during your quiet time.

A Wednesday Men’s Group is offered by Cancun Christian Fellowship. Please contact Tom Martin at tommartinmx@gmail.com or 998-121-1316 for additional information.

With the financial help of a group from Canada, we were able to put a new window and screen in the upstairs boy’s bathroom. Our contractor, Mr. Reyes, does great work and he is happy to assist us at the home. His craftsmanship is superb and the window looks and functions great.

“It is no disgrace to fail; it is a disgrace to do less than your best to keep from failing.” Bob Jones, Sr.

Ladies from the Wednesday Christian Women’s Group spent quality time playing with our Children and coloring with the young girls. The “Women’s Group” does great things for our children and never ask for recognition. We are so lucky to have such a great group of ladies.

Lorena visited the Orphanage this week and Esther told us our baby is doing good and growing. We continue to pray for the health and well being of Lorena and Noami.

We talked with C. Mike last week and received an update on his health issues. He recently had surgery on both shoulders and is at home recovering. He also stated that Amanda is now working and doing well. Please keep Mike and Amanda in your prayers.

Esther told us that Pedro was back in school and doing much better. Please pray that he has learned his lesson and will continue on a path of improvement.

If you would like to plan a day trip with the children, please contact Cherilyn Martin. We can assure you that you that you will have the time of your life.

The Laurie and Ryan Lipp family furnished diapers for Jamil this week. He seems to be making progress in his potty “retraining”. Diapers are always needed and greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!

We have great news from Texas. Teresa Weatherly, one of our Mission Partner Angels from the GREAT STATE, has blessed our Christian Mission Outreach with another financial donation. Her donation will be placed in our weekly food fund for our children. As always, thanks so very much for your continued support.

Regina Wheeler has also blessed us with a financial donation for our Christian home. Regina is our newest Mission Partner. If you were in church last week you heard me talk about Rich and Amy Shelton, new Mission Partners from the Washington DC area, and their creative way of financially benefiting our children. We continue to be blessed by the way our Lord works in our lives and our outreach. All donations that come to us by way of the Shelton’s creativity will be used to purchase food for Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. Our weekly food fund is always in need of creative and giving people like the Shelton's.

We have a work group from the US that should be arriving on June 14th. Members of the Robert Hollander family and extended family will be helping us with a renovation project that has been approved by Pastor Mancilla and will improve the quality of life for our children. You will have the opportunity to meet the Hollander family at our church Sunday service. Hopefully they will also have the opportunity one of our study groups.

Members of the Jon Green family have also informed us that they will be in Cancun this month and would like to assist at the home on May 28th. We will have more on the Greens next week.

Volunteers from CCF took two boys from our Christian home to the beach Friday. We picked them up at 12:00, took them to Tacos.com for gourmet tacos (they were really great tacos) then to the beach. Keith and Kimberly Wagner shared their lawn chairs, palapa, beach front and their children to help entertain our boys. CCF supplied lunch, cookies, soft drinks and transportation. Jenaro and Enrique had a great time, an afternoon they will remember for years to come.

This has been a great day for GOOD NEWS. First, we just received a call from a group in Indiana that will be here for two week beginning the middle of June. Kathy is doing better and is on the road to recovery. Kathy stated that she has booked their flight ‘to Mexico for June 7th and they will be returning to their Cancun family shortly. It will be great to have them back home. Please join us and keep the Turners in your prayers.
